Fast & Furious...Literally!

No exaggeration here!

This is quite literally how this baby got here! 😂

I met this mama and her wife around October of 2022.

We hit it off immediately and it’s been a fun ride ever since!

We walked through a few peaks and valleys during this pregnancy but we made it to the end.

We get to the end of the wire and induction is discussed and determined to be necessary.

We walk through all the elements of induction and luckily, I’ve worked with her doctor several times so I know how she rolls with inductions.

She gets an induction date and it was postponed because they had no beds available.

They have her come back in the next morning.

She gets her stats; nearly completely effaced, -2 station but dilation is almost non-existent.

Miso is administered, water is manually ruptured and shortly after, it gets real, real!

I hadn’t made it there yet but I was checking in frequently.

I get one phone call and I hear my girl moaning and groaning like a church mother during devotion on communion Sunday. 😂

I’m on GO MODE!

I get there at 9:10pm and my girl is handling contractions like the G she is!

I dive in and hit her with my soothing blend of oils, a labor grip, a comb and a stress ball.

I make sure she’s drinking some water and got her up to go to the bathroom.

She was scared to pee so I went old school and ran some water to get her to go.

She gets back In the bed on all 4s over a peanut ball and the contractions hit back to back like Obama’s presidency!

Lil baby was COMING!

Her doctor came in to check on her before heading home.

She had no intentions of catching a baby! 😂

My counter pressure was no longer working and when that happens, a baby is surely coming sooner rather than later!

She told us that she needed to push and her doctor wanted to check her.

We got her on her side and lifted her right leg and all that did was make space for that baby to come out! 😂

She kept saying “I can’t stop it!”

Her doctor and I told her that it was ok and if she needed to keep pushing she could.

Baby was crowning quickly and her doctor barely had time to gown up before Lil baby came flying out!

What this mama experienced was a combination of totally relaxing how we practiced in her labor prep visit, being in gravity bearing positions and something called the fetal ejection reflex where your body literally does the work for you and there’s minimal pushing on your part.

She did her thing and just like that GIF above, that baby flew right out at 10:19pm

Amniotic fluid and blood on my pants and rebozo but I’m not even mad at it!

I was there less than an hour and we had a baby!

To My G Thang BAAAYYYBEH, My TRE CLUB (Insider 😂): You are simply amazing! You made me so proud with how you handled all the pop up “issues” during pregnancy and laboring so beautifully. I’m so happy you didn’t give up on yourself! I’m so happy for you as I know the journey here was not an easy one but God is faithful. You have been a pleasure to work with, laugh with and love on! You’re going to be an amazing mom; trust that!
