Placenta Encapsulation FAQs

    • Pills: Reduce fatigue, increase breast-milk production, shorten healing time, prevent baby blues and postpartum depression, restore hormonal balance and provide an overall feeling of wellness.

    • Tincture: Placenta Tinctures are a long term support option for the postpartum period. Your tincture can be stored in the freezer for later onset of hormonal changes to include: Your first postpartum menstrual cycle, weaning & menopause!

  • There are a few answers to this question!

    1. Notify me that you are near pushing so that I can start heading to the birthing location.

    2. In the event of a precipitous vaginal birth, let me know as soon as you have the baby

    3. In the event of a cesarean (emergency or planned), let me know that you heading back to the OR so that I can start heading to the birthing location

  • Within 1-3 days. ( I will notify you as soon as possible if I am unable to complete it in this timeframe.)

  • Capsules should be kept in a cool, dark place. In a fridge, they can last 6 months and 12 months in a freezer. Tinctures must be placed in a cool, dark place for 6-8 weeks to allow fermentation.

  • If you test positive for HIV, Hepatitis or Group B Strep. As a certified placenta encapsulator, I will thoroughly and visually examine your placenta to ensure it is safe for consumption. If you are positive for any of the above listed illnesses, we can not move forward with placenta handling outside of the birthing location.

  • Placentas can be encapsulated for up to 3 months if frozen. We can be notified at any point to retrieve a placenta.
